On Display

It's interactive!

February is Black History Month, and to mark the occasion there is a new display up on the first floor of Bunch Library.  The display features highlights of African-American music from 1950-present using books and media found in our collection.  A row of QR codes that link to YouTube videos take you through a music history lesson from 1950-present.  Grab your smart phone and scan away!

(URLs are provided if you do not have barcode scanning capabilities on your phone)

2013 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of Ward-Belmont School, when Ward Seminary for Young Ladies and Belmont College for Young Women merged in 1913. Ward-Belmont was largely a junior college for young women, although it also included a music conservatory, a Preparatory School, and the School of Arts and Dancing. Ward-Belmont was in existence until 1951 when it was purchased by the Tennessee Baptist Convention.

Although much has changed since then, you might recognize some of the images below. Stop by Special Collections in Bunch Library to see a special display that includes photos and memorabilia from the Ward-Belmont days.

Browzine: A New Way to Browse and Keep Up With Journals

Bunch Library now offers the Browzine app for iPads and other tablets.

With Browzine, you can browse the library's collection of electronic journals and "subscribe" to journals you select for your Browzine bookshelf.  The app will send you push notifications when new issues are published.   The result is an easy and familiar way to browse, read and monitor scholarly journals across the disciplines.

Watch this video to learn more about how Browzine works, or visit our Browzine Research Guide to learn  more about Browzine!

The BrowZine app is available as a free download for iPad, Android, or Kindle Fire tablet.

When you open BrowZine for the first time, you will see a list of schools.
  1. Select Belmont University.
  2. Enter your myBelmont username and password.
  3. Select your subject area(s) and start browsing!

Printing Help Revisited and Revamped

Getting Started with PaperCut
Here at Bunch Library, we listen to our fans.  We give the people what they want.

In response to this wonderful creation, the Library Systems Team took it upon themselves to add to the library of PaperCut support documentation.  So, we put together these screencasts.  This way, users have a visual walkthrough for printing documents, adding funds to their account, wireless printing, and dealing with some common errors.
If you want additional screen casts/how-to videos on PaperCut or any other library technology, contact libsystems@belmont.edu.  For additional PaperCut support documentation click here.
